A MUCH BETTER WEEK FOR OL UNCLE ROCK

Well I have to start this blog and say a "Big Ol Thank You" to all who said that prayer for Ol Uncle Rock.I had my daughters this weekend and we had a GREAT weekend. I understand that sometimes parents are just not meant to be together. However, I would love to meet the person who decided that it is fair for a father to only see his children 4 days per month. I am going to step down from my soapbox and just say that I had a much better week and I LOVE MY BABIES!!!! Do you realize that football season is finally here? That's right, the Hatfield McCoy Senior Bowl was this past Saturday and 100,000 watts of Marshall Thundering Herd football action starts on August 30th on WXCC! Now on to COUNTRY MUSIC NEWS.......How sweet it is! Sugarland scores the No. 1 country album and the No. 2 country song on the Billboard charts this week, toppling, at least for now, the tenacious Taylor Swift.Rocketing Sugarland to the summit is the duo's third Mercury Records album, Love on the Inside: Deluxe Fan Edition. It sold 314,000 copies its first week out, according to the Nielsen SoundScan count. That total also put the CD at No. 2 on the all-genres Billboard 200 list, just behind Miley Cyrus' Breakout, which sold 371,000 units.For the second week in a row, Alan Jackson's "Good Time" ranks as Billboard's No. 1 country song.Love on the Inside is the only new title on the current album chart. There are, however, four albums making a comeback: Larry the Cable Guy's Morning Constitution (re-entering at No. 54), Jeff Bates' self-titled project (No. 55), Little Big Town's A Place to Land (No. 61) and Rodney Carrington's King of the Mountains (No. 74).Montgomery Gentry's "Roll With Me" (No. 56) is the highest-ranking of the week's three new songs. The others are Randy Owen's "Like I Never Broke Her Heart" (No. 59) and Carter's Chord's "Different Breed" (No. 60).Rounding out the Top 5 albums are Swift's Beautiful Eyes and Taylor Swift (No. 2 and No. 3, respectively), Toby Keith's 35 Biggest Hits and Sugarland's Enjoy The Ride.Trailing Jackson's "Good Time" on the songs chart are Sugarland's "All I Want to Do," Keith Urban's "You Look Good in My Shirt," Swift's "Should've Said No" and Brooks & Dunn's "Put a Girl in It," in that order.With all this excitement, who needs the Olympics?
